The Simpson Desert Consists of a sea of parallel red sand dunes covering an area of 170,000 sq km (as large as England and Wales). It lies across the corners of South Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Rainfall is low on average 125 mm per year and temperatures exceed 50 degrees in summer and can drop down to 0 degrees in winter.
Day one/Fly from Brisbane to Birdsvile

Riders fly in from Brisbane (flight included in price) with a total of 3 stops in all, Charleville, Quilpie, Windorah before arriving in Birdsville around 2 pm.
The flight is a good chance to get a birds eye view of the changing landscape from the east coast of Australia to the channel country desert outlook.
You guys will then settle into our Birdsville camp for lunch, after lunch we will brief you on the tour and the do’s and don’ts of the tour.
You will then have a bit of free time to wander around the town to look at some of its history and buildings before dinner at the famous Birdsville hotel.

Day two/ 200km
After we have sorted out the motorcycles we leave Birdsville at a relaxed time heading in a southerly direction to enter the vastness of the Simpson Desert. From here we will be faced with two traveling options depending on the weather Gods. You will expect to be riding for a good part of the day on rock undulating roads and in between stopping for lunch some where along the beaten track. It will be more of the same action for our afternoon stint on the motorcycles, we will make our camp some where on the Diamantina flood plain in the Million Stars a Night Hotel.

Day three/ 206km

Another beautiful day with a fantastic cool morning to enjoy before we head further into the heart of the Simpson Desert. The day sees us heading parallel with the massive red dunes and a wide variety of desert fauna and flora, this and the open plains will give you an appreciation of the immense size of the desert. The further north we ride the more you will encounter the deep red sands of the Simpson. You will start to gain experience in riding over the first of many sand dunes before arriving at Peoppels Corner for a well earn't lunch. Peoppels Corner is where 3 states intersect, Queensland, South Australia and Northern Territory. The evening will see us make another desert camp in the Million Stars a Night Hotel.

Day four/ 186km

The morning is started with great anticipation for the up and coming sand dunes the best of the best, the biggest and badest sand dunes that Simpson has to offer!!
Our goal is to ride 500 sand dunes in one day!! and finish off with a well earn't cold beer at the famous Birdsville hotel.
We will end up at the restaurant to enjoy a great evening meal along with a few laughs for the night....
