East of the Simpson
Desert

There are approximately 1000 sand dunes across the
Simpson Desert, east to west, and distance between
fuel stops is 500 Km between Birdsville and Mt Dare
Station. |

| Coopers Creek runs right next to the township
of Innamincka in South Australia. This is where the explorers
Burke and Wills tragically ended their expedition in the late
1800's. But apart from that its a great place to camp for a
couple of days. A lot of outback travellers pass through here.
